  1. This area contains the files included in the official binary
  2. distribution of NetHack 3.1 for the Macintosh.  The game was
  3. created faithfully (using MPW C) from the initial release of the
  4. source code for NetHack 3.1 with minor cosmetic changes included
  5. for distribution.

  7. To install and play a game you will need a hard drive with, at
  8. least, 3.5MB of free space and any Macintosh running system 6.0.2
  9. or better.  Get the text files nh31.hqx and nh31.doc and follow
  10. the directions in nh31.doc.  nh31.hqx is a BinHex encoded, self-
  11. extracting archive.
